Echo + arcane echo
Can you use echo + arcane echo to have a skill like meteor shower duplicated three times?
So with echo you have two meteor showers. Now with archane echo will you have three meteor showers.
If you can duplicate one of your skills three times then it would be awesome using it with debilitating shot.
Sq for faster recharge. Two rangers on a gvg team will do -60 energy if this does work.
Does it work? Let me know. Thanks.

You use echo then your skill, then it makes a copy of that skill then use arcane echo and you make another copy so that is 3
as for the energy draining idea, I'm not sure but I don't think echo&co work on bow attacks and it would cost you 20 to echo + 3x10 energy without expertise

There is some discussion about it here
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3004715
but the way it works is this...
Echo {e} can copy most anything
Archane Echo can ONLY copy SPELLS
for something like debilitating shot you would have to use Archane Echo and then Echo{e} and then DS and then your copied echo {e} and then copied DS and then last copied DS...
It sounds great but you would have to spend 15e on Archane echo then 5e
on echo {e} then 10e on DS then 5e on echo{e} then 10e on DS and 10e more on DS for a total of 55 energy spent (foe would lose 30e)
so...it works but it sucks
EDIT:
IMO you are better off with SQ and Echo {e} and not archane echo if you wanted to try it

ah yea I knew it was to good to be true :s
What's the recharge time on echo?
An how much energy does it cost?
But still two rangers doing this is -40 energy very fast.

10 for debiliating, 5 for Echo. 15 for Arcane Echo. Both echoes' recharge time is 30.

The entire mechanism is a chain of 20 seconds replacement and afterwards 30 second recharge. Also as far as I noticed it doesnt benefit from improved recharge so the "refire rate" of echo is 50 seconds, what might be a more interesting parameter than the actual recharge. Also some issues with debillitating synergy arise here, with the 10 sec recharge and animation you won tbe able to use it twice with an echo used. Including QZ increases this to 3 shots per echo but starts providing some drawbacks to considering energy lost and removed, you'll spend 13*expertise factor to drain ten energy. Therefore expertise allready needs to be pretty high to make any significant netto gains on it. Also the use of QZ is reaally tough as it often hurts your team members as well, and it only functions well in a few builds.
Using oath shot means ~2.5 extra debillitating shots in the 50 second chain of echo and a permanent SQ can be used than, not having the drawbacks of QZ and therefore much more convenient. This also adds the opportunity to pick another secondary, and has a far better synergy with a lot of other skills like defensive stances, signet of weariness, throw dirt etc.

I've tried that combo before for nuking and it's a massive energy burner. If you want to nuke and do nothing else but nuke it's viable.

In fact the couple Echo + Arcane Echo can copy any skill (not just spells) if you start copying Echo first with Arcane
Isn't it ?

Unless you have good energy management skills its best to go with one of the skills because you can literally run out of energy in less than 10 seconds. I only ever use Arcane Echo is I have a build that uses a different elite. BUt generally try to fit echo in if you can spare your elite spot.

I bet someone else is going to skip everything in this thread and say:
"Yeah, you can do it by casting echo + arc echo"
*yawn* I'm an energy hog, so i'll most likely use triple casting with drain enchantment or something dumb like that.

Obviously you could use DS quite effectively with SQ and QZ. But you gotta remember theres upto another 7 people around you who may not be so pleased about that 30% more energy.
